The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration said Thursday that it is opening a formal investigation of the 2010 Toyota Prius Hybrid to determine whether the vehicle suffers momentary loss of braking capability while traveling over bumpy surfaces. NHTSA, an agency that is part of the U.S. Department of Transportation, has received 124 consumer complaints, including four reports of crashes.
Sky's 3D pub channel will this weekend host the premiere of a 3D film showing David Coulthard driving the Mercedes SLS supercar around the Isle of Man. After Sky's premiere, CAR Online will show the film here this autumn.Sky's 3D channel shows in 3000 pubs (click here to find your nearest pub). Toyota are recalling all Auris, RAV4, Yaris & Corolla models worldwide to check a faulty electric window switch. Toyota has issued a recall for some 7.4 million cars worldwide to check a potential fault on the Power Window Master Switch on all models of the Toyota Auris, RAV4, Corolla and Yaris built between September 2006 and December 2008. In the UK there are around 138,000 cars affected, but the Corolla is not affected in the UK – just the Auris, Yaris and RAV4.
